C8 STINGRAY/ Z06 / Z07 LT1 LT6 Chassis Cross Brace, improve rigidity by 8%

from $599.00

Increase the performance and strength of your 2020-Present C8 Stingray Z06 Z07 / LT1 LT6 Corvette Coupe. Does not work work for Convertibles.

  1. Improves torsional rigidity by 8%, which improves your C8's steering feel, control and handling precision on the track

  2. Customer review and install video discussing how C8 Chassis Brace reduced body flexing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRKTOO3fETE

  3. The C8 chassis cross brace is made from carbon fiber tubes and polished 304 stainless steel hardware. This makes the brace extremely strong yet lightweight.

  4. The design's straight lines prevents flexing and spring and thus maximizes rigidity

  5. By mounting to the rear strut mounts compressive and tensile loads are directly controlled, eliminating diagonal movements of the strut mounts.

  6. Makes a huge impact on your car's engine appearance

  7. Installation is done easily by removing 2 bolts and 4 nuts, installing cross brace and re-installing those same bolts and nuts.

  8. The brace does not install over the Engine Appearance Package (EAP) which prevents attaching to a non rigid base.

  9. Directly addresses an issue the lead chassis engineer for the C8, Ed Moss, pointed out.  He said:

“The trick for torsional stiffness is that you’ve got to get the load through the tunnel and back to the  shocktowers..." https://www.popsci.com/corvette-stingray-supercar-chassis-engineering      This brace accomplishes this "trick", transfering load from the tunnel to the shocktowers.

  • The strut cross brace utilizes straight lines and overengineered components to maximize strength and rigidity, making it far stronger than the actual loads on the brace. Dome shaped all carbon fiber braces that do not attach to the strut provide far less torsional rigidity improvement (4% vs 8%).

  • Video of the C8 Cross Brace undergoing a Stress Analysis cycling between no load and maximun load conditions. The high safety factor insures durability as well as preventing flexing and thus maximum chassis stiffening benefit. Those that have tracked the car attest to the improvements in handling, feel and lap times. All C8 Cross Braces are tested to 5 times maximum load conditions.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi_lvzrwnEs

  • Adds strength in the event of a side or rear-end collision.

  • Keep chassis like new.

  • Patent(s) applied for.

  • Message with color preferences.

  • Made in USA.

  • This brace was designed, developed and manufactured by Speedway Composites, and track tested by professional racing driver Jesse Iwuji.

The pictures include those from a chassis testing facility where the chassis torsional rigidity was measured with and without the strut brace to measure improvement in flexing, using the same methods as Indy, Speedway and F1.
